Cape Cod is not only home to plentiful rich history and outdoor fun, but also pristine beaches. If you love working on your tan and splashing around at the shore, than Breakwater Beach in Brewster is highly recommended. Even though it is one of the most popular beaches in town, it is never too crowded.

This amazing beach is the perfect spot to lay out and work on your tan. The sand is soft so you can easily lay out a towel or with a chair under an umbrella. During the summer, the water is comfortable and the sand extends almost a mile out into the bay at low tide.

The best part about Breakwater Beach is you can always find a spot. Even in the peak of summer, you won’t bump elbows with neighbors like other beaches. Though the low amount of people that frequent this beach means there aren’t commodities like snack bars, but can usually hear an ice cream truck pass by.

Breakwater Beach is more than just your average shoreline in this state filled with them. During low tide, the sands can stretch out for almost a mile. This makes it the absolute perfect time to walk around and explore the numerous tidal pools filled with crabs, shells, and small fish are revealed at that time.
